About Ensana

Built by operators,
for operators.

Ensana was founded on a simple observation: most consulting firms are better at diagnosing problems than solving them. We built something different.

We're a small, senior team with deep experience inside high-growth companies. We've sat in the seats our clients sit in — and we bring that perspective to every engagement.

Our Story

Why we exist.

Ensana was founded after years of watching talented founding teams hit the same wall: the company had outgrown its operating model, but nobody had the time or the outside perspective to redesign it. The result was always the same — good people working hard on the wrong things, in the wrong ways.

We started with a conviction that the best consulting work happens when you're willing to get your hands dirty. Not just diagnosing the problem from a distance, but sitting in the room, understanding the constraints, and building something that actually works in the real world — not just on a slide.

Over eight years, we've worked with companies from seed stage through Series C, across industries from health tech to enterprise software to consumer commerce. The problems change. The underlying patterns don't.

Today, Ensana is a deliberately small firm. We take on a limited number of engagements each year so we can do each one properly. We don't have a bench of junior consultants. Every engagement is led by a senior practitioner who has done this work before — and who will be accountable for the outcome.

How We Work

The principles
we don't compromise on.

Honesty over comfort

We tell clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. That means naming the real problem, even when it's uncomfortable — and being direct about whether we're the right fit.

Embedded, not advisory

We work alongside your team, not above it. We don't hand over a report and leave. We stay through implementation, iteration, and the messy middle.

Durable over clever

We design for longevity. The best operating system is one your team can own, evolve, and explain without us in the room.

Fewer clients, deeper work

We deliberately limit the number of engagements we take on. It's the only way to do the work properly — and the only way we'd want to do it.

"We measure success by one thing: whether your team can run the system we built together without us."

Ensana founding principle

Think we might
be a good fit?

We're selective about the engagements we take on — not because we're precious about it, but because the work only succeeds when there's genuine alignment on both sides. Let's find out if that's the case.
